I grew up in the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch country and moved to the Midwest eons ago.
Fortunate to retire after 31 years in the manufacturing sector, I was able to return to my first love, art. I embarked on the study of various forms of art taking workshops from the top artists in the United States. I was fortunate enough to be able to study pastel abroad in France on two occasions. The first in southern France and most recently, in the Normandy area. I have studied art at John Wood Community College, Quincy University and Western Illinois University.
I am a perpetual student who is always looking for the next fine artist to explore and learn from. I have no favorite art medium as each is special. In fact, mixed media can be the most rewarding of them all when they are united into work that cannot be accomplished by using only one.
